East Gaston High School (also referred to as East Gaston, East, or EGHS) is a public high school that is part of the Gaston County Schools and is located in Mount Holly, North Carolina, United States. The school was established in 1972 when high schools in the neighboring communities of Mount Holly and Stanley were consolidated. East Gaston contains the largest student body in the district with over 1,500 students. It is home of the 2010 District Principal (Marty Starnes), School Social Worker (Angela Ferguson), and School Counselor (Cindy Cloninger) of the Year.
